We are happy to share the news that former Valley Home resident Tayler Denman is here visiting from Texas. Tayler is staying with longtime friend Jenna Heaton. Tayler and Jenna spent last weekend at the family houseboat on Lake Don Pedro. The girls had a great time with good friends Austin Dickens, Garret Bryhni and Jordan McCain. They fished, swam, barbecued and enjoyed delicious catfish for dinner one night. The girls will both go to southern California this week to visit more family and meet up with Tayler’s parents, Russell and Debbee Denman. The Denmans are driving in from Texas and will be in Valley Home around June 30th. The Heatons and Mullins would like to extend an invitation to everyone who would like to visit with the Denman family to come over on July 1st at about 6 in the evening for BBQ and to say hello and catch up on all the news with old friends! For more information please call Tena at 848-0378 or Winnie at 605-4843.

Members of the Oakdale Garden Club are enjoying a relaxing week following their successful Annual Salad Bar Luncheon held at the Gene Bianchi Center in Oakdale last week. A large crowd of attendees enjoyed a delicious array of salads and an opportunity to partake in a raffle of goody filled baskets of garden items, statuary, and picnic items etc., and the opportunity to peruse the sale of potted plants for house or garden which provided colorful entry way to the luncheon.

Attendees from the Red Hat Society were very much in presence with their colorful floral chapeaus and purple and red outfits. Not to be outdone by the Hatters, Garden Club members were also seen wearing floral hats for the event and colorful gardening aprons. Your Valley Home Reporter and longtime Oakdale Garden club member was surprised with a certificate proclaiming her a Life Member of California Garden Clubs, Inc. and a special state garden club pin.
