Again this week we start our column with sad but grateful appreciation to each and every firefighter. The dangerous conditions these men and women are working in is absolutely horrible, the loss of life is heartbreaking, we have no words for the sadness we feel.

Please remember this Tuesday August 7th is our Valley Home National Night Out. We are encouraged to come out to our Valley Home Park and visit with our neighbors, new and old! Although it is not necessary, for those who would like to share a favorite potluck dish please feel welcome to bring whatever you would like! Plates, utensils, hot dogs, condiments, and refreshing drinks will be provided! The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with former Valley Home resident Pammie Moore sharing her story of growing up as a young girl in Valley Home! Anyone that has history of early Valley Home, please bring and share during the evening. Please let Winnie know if you need a table for the pictures. Let’s keep our community safe by getting to know each other and looking out for each other! Hope to see you there!
