Hello to each of you. I hope this finds you all doing well. It’s such a beautiful time of the year … time to start that early planting; a big garden or maybe just a small garden in pots. It’s always so nice to look forward to our garden’s bounty.

Bring your yard tools and help make our beautiful park shine. We are very grateful to our county supervisor Buck Condit who is sponsoring two huge dumpsters for our community. Dumpsters will be located at the Pioneer School campus from 8am until 4pm. Please no hazardous waste. For more information you may visit Love Valley Home.com or contact Jessica at 925-998-7850. Our Valley Home MAC meeting was very well attended by our community members. We are very thankful to our first responders and our county officials who shared important information with us. Community concerns included a person shooting very close to homes and daycare on Sawyer Avenue. Action to come. Deputy Bret Babbitt answered questions and shared information about this situation. Thank you for coming to our MAC meeting, Deputy Babbitt, we appreciate you very much. Our Fire Board members shared information on the results of the survey that was sent out to citizens a few weeks ago. The survey asked for your feedback on thoughts and ideas for the future of our Valley Home Fire Station. Community members were also reminded of, and encouraged to attend the Fire Board meeting which was being held the next day, Thursday April 11th at our Valley Home Station. Our Fire Board members have worked hard and dedicated many long hours to trying to open our Valley Home firehouse doors. They have worked many long hours to get information out to all those in our district. We are grateful for their dedication and all their hard work. We very much appreciate board members Steve Guerrero, Rod Gambini and Eric Vandeveer for attending our MAC meeting. We deeply appreciate them coming and sharing this important information with us. For important information, please visit: www.oakdalefireprotectiondistrict.org. We thank all the first responders and county officials for attending and sharing information. We especially appreciate Fire Battalion Chief Doug Rice for always attending our meetings, bringing important information to us. Doug shared that our Fire Department is hiring, and is busy with trainings, and getting equipment ready … they are gearing up for a very busy season. Now is the time to clear grass and weeds away from our homes; don’t wait until it’s all dry.

We are excited to welcome our new CHP Officer, Francisco Arias. Officer Arias introduced himself and answered questions and concerns from the audience. We were very thankful to have Officer Arias at our meeting. We send a huge thank you to CHP Officers Tom Olsen and Eric Moore for all the many times they have brought important information to our Valley Home MAC meetings. We appreciate you coming to our Valley Home events over the past years, always being a special part of each event. We appreciate you both very, very much.

We are also happy to welcome Public Works, Zach Ramsdell. We are so grateful to have Zach and thank him for sharing such great information, and encouraging us to reach out to him with our concerns. We ask Zach to please say hello to our good friend Bill Martins, Public Works. Bill has done so much for Valley Home.

Also attending was Mr. Horatio Madueno. He is from Stanislaus County Behavioral Health and shared important information and answered our questions. We very much appreciate him coming to Valley Home.

We were all excited to meet Jennifer Hidalgo, our new County Community Relations Manager. Jennifer will be replacing Erica Inacio. Welcome to Valley Home Jennifer and thank you Erica, for all you have done for Valley Home, you will be greatly missed.
