My heart is so heavy. As with many of you the passing of our beautiful Deanna has brought so much sorrow and grief to each of us. This amazing girl was born to Lynn and Albert Ferreira, who fell in love with their beautiful baby girl from the first moment they saw her. She was special. Over the years she grew up to be such a wonderful young woman. Deanna grew up being taught to love those around her, to treat people with kindness, and to always be grateful. As a student at Oakdale High, she was a much sought after best friend … on her part, she was always, all throughout her lifetime, a devoted and caring friend to all. Deanna was a sweet, full of laughter girl. Her natural beauty came from her beautiful mother, Lynn. Deanna passed her extraordinary beauty on to her daughter Hailee. Deanna was blessed with her beloved dad’s friendly, welcoming smile. As a child she loved to ride in “Blue Bird” the name her dad fondly called his pickup truck.

Family and friends were very important to Deanna. She enjoyed every day, and on her hardest days she still welcomed you with a beautiful smile. Deanna was blessed to have many, many people in her life … people who loved her dearly. Our heart goes out to all who loved our sweet Deanna.

She is loved and deeply cherished by a truly amazing man, Richard Garza. Both Deanna and Richard gave much of their time to our Valley Home community. I remember many years ago, Deanna was at the first planning meeting for our Valley Home Harvest Festival. Her enthusiasm and hard work helped create what is now a wonderful community and school event held each fall in Valley Home. Deanna and Richard made the most of every day, enjoying many adventures and very special times together. Their love for each other was truly a forever love. Deanna will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

As the H-B puts up the panels, as our town gets ready for our Oakdale Rodeo … our beautiful Deanna will be with us in spirit. Forever missed and deeply loved by so many.
