All gardening enthusiasts throughout the area are welcome to join in for the upcoming Escalon Farmington Community Garden Club meeting. The next session is set for Thursday, May 2 at 1 p.m., at Escalon United Methodist Church, 2000 Jackson Ave., Escalon.

Guest speakers will be Tom and/or Mark Crooker, owner/operators of Roberts Ferry Lavender with the topic: All Things Lavender.

Guest speakers are always first on the program, right after the flag salute. There is also a short visiting period with snacks following the speaker, then the club’s business meeting. The session wraps up with prize drawings and flower sharing; those attending are asked to bring a bloom from their garden to share what they like about it.

Meetings typically run two hours or less.
