Doug Lillie, 86 of Oakdale, California, passed away on May 5, 2024. A native of Vicksburg, Michigan, Doug joined the Air Force in 1959 and served until 1965. He later transitioned to the Army Reserve, where he retired as a Major in 1998. Doug was known for his dedication and commitment to the military. Throughout his career, Doug worked as a parts manager for Montgomery Ward from 1968 to 1998. His strong work ethic and leadership skills made him a valuable asset in his profession. Doug was a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he found solace and community. In his free time, Doug enjoyed being a part of the Army Pistol Team and serving as a Scout Leader. His passion for these activities brought him joy and fulfillment.

Doug is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Betty, and their six sons: Andrew (Laura), Neil (Kelly), Brian (Ayako), Daniel (Erika), Dale (Gladys), and Ryan. He also leaves behind grandchildren Alex, Brooke, Niko, Danika, Taya, David, Natalie and Kaori and his sister, Carol Sue Disler (David Disler), along with many beloved relatives.

A viewing will be held at Eaton’s Funeral Services in Modesto on Thursday, May 16, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The burial will take place at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella on Friday, May 17 at 8 a.m., followed by a memorial service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Oakdale at 3 p.m.
