We have great news: Our Valley Home Baptist Church is hosting a ‘Family Fun Day’ this Saturday, July 16. There will be games, might even be cool water games to beat the heat! There will also be delicious food for all. There will be lots of fun including face painting, come make friends and enjoy the fellowship. Everything is free, bring your smiles, your family, and your friends! There will be something for everyone. For more information, please call Shawntel at 209-568-9516. The fun will begin at 10am Saturday morning and go until 1pm. The Church is located at 13331 Valley Home Road.

Please remember tonight, Wednesday, July 13 is our Valley Home MAC meeting. It will start at 6:30pm in the Bonnie Gellerman Multi-Purpose Room. There is always great information provided! The meeting agenda will include the bridge on Pioneer Avenue and plans for National Night Out. Please come and share your opinions or ask questions. The meetings are usually short but very informational!

Thursday, July 14 our fire department will hold its regular monthly meeting. This month’s meeting will be held at Knights Ferry in the Community Clubhouse on Main Street at 10am. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

As I end this week’s column, I once again ask for your prayers. My daughter Beci will have brain surgery this Friday, July 15. It will actually be two surgeries, one right after the other. Surgeries are scheduled to start at 5:30am at UC Davis and will be approximately seven to nine hours total. Our family would greatly appreciate your prayers. We are blessed to believe in our Mighty God. Thank you all.
