Our Valley Home School Superintendent Mr. Tom Price and our school Administrative Assistant Mrs. Jennifer Higgins were honored recently for their many contributions to our Valley Home students! Our Valley Home School Board with social distancing in place served refreshments to those attending. The tribute to Mrs. Higgins and Mr. Price was held immediately after the school board meeting at our Valley Home park. Mrs. Higgins is retiring after working for the Valley Home School District for 34 years. She started out as an aide in the kindergarten classroom. Later she moved to the administrative secretary position. In 2002 she was promoted to the Administrative Assistant position and has been there ever since. Mrs. Higgins has served as our Administrative Assistant for seven superintendents and four interim superintendents! Our Valley Home students and our Valley Home community send a huge Thank You to our much loved Mrs. Jennifer Higgins! Mr. Price is retiring after 32 years in public education! He has served as our Valley Home Superintendent for five years. Mr. Price has truly been an amazing educator, administrator, inspiration to his students and a caring friend to all within our community! Valley Home sends a heartfelt Thank You to this very special man, Superintendent Mr. Tom Price! May God bless both Mrs. Higgins and Mr. Price as they enjoy retirement with their families. Mrs. Higgins and husband Tom and Mr. Price and wife Cheryl, we wish you a retirement filled with “Happy Trails!”
