Our Valley Home School Christmas program will be this Friday at 11:15 am! Students are excited as the big day arrives! School will be dismissed at 12:30 pm. Winter break starts this weekend and school will resume on Monday, January 6th.

Also this Friday, December 20th our Valley Home Community Lighted Christmas Parade will be held in downtown Valley Home at 6:30 pm! Bring your safe and lighted parade entry and be in line at 6:15 pm! Immediately after the parade, we will gather at our little community park, our parade grand marshals will light our park Christmas tree and we will sing two Christmas carols together, then cross the street to our school gym and share a delicious Christmas dinner. Everyone is invited to bring their favorite dish to share. Our Valley Home 4-H will provide two turkeys, two hams, rolls, Christmas punch, hot chocolate and dinnerware for all. It has been a week filled with Christmas spirit, as our Valley Home students shopped in the Christmas store! The students shop for family members and friends. The gifts are then wrapped and sent home with the kids all ready to go under the tree! Thank You to all who make this possible for our students. Tomorrow, Thursday, is the last day to shop. We hope you all enjoy the thoughtful gifts that are chosen and placed under your tree with care. The children spend a lot of time choosing what they will purchase and for whom. Merry Christmas to all!

This Sunday our 4-H members will be visiting Astoria Care Home singing Christmas carols and bringing Christmas cheer to all! It will be a very special afternoon!
