We are celebrating our Fall Harvest Season in Valley Home! It is such a beautiful time of the year ... we are blessed with many bountiful crops. Our community invites each of you to come celebrate with us on Saturday, October 30. Our Fall Harvest Festival will begin at 6:00 pm and go until 9:00 pm. What fun we will have together while we support our Valley Home students! Please come and enjoy delicious harvest dinners and yummy fall treats. Celebrate Autumn under a beautiful Harvest Moon in Valley Home. Invite your family and friends; there will be something for everyone. Enjoy our delightful Fall Pumpkin Patch! Pumpkins, scarecrows, autumn leaves, cornstalks with golden ears of dried harvest corn, rustic fall colored ears of Indian corn along with heavy bushel baskets of freshly harvested almonds and walnuts will await you. Our Fall Pumpkin Patch will welcome you with plenty of comfortable ranch hay bale seating, or feel free to bring your favorite comfy chair from home. Eat a delicious harvest meal in the moonlight, visit our first responders, dip for apples, play carnival games, or just sit, relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of this special Fall evening in Valley Home! Hot cinnamon cider, spiced pumpkin hot coffee along with steaming hot chocolate will also await you in the Pumpkin Patch. While there stop and enjoy a warm slice of delicious pumpkin pie. The Pumpkin Patch will also feature harvest machinery; truly something for everyone! Our pumpkin decorating contest and pumpkin carving contest will also take place in our Pumpkin Patch – please carve pumpkins at home and bring to Harvest Festival. Our well stocked old fashioned Harvest Fruit Stand will bring you delicious deep purple table grapes, fresh ears of bright yellow corn, burnt orange tree ripened persimmons, beautiful red pomegranates and much more. You will also be able to enjoy delicious ice cold slushees, cotton candy, candied apples, and hot buttery popcorn. Inside the gym you can play fun games of Bingo while beautiful class baskets will welcome your bid; all proceeds go directly to the class that created the basket. A great way to support our students! Our Silent Auction table welcomes your bid; so many fabulous items for you to bid on. Your support is deeply appreciated by our Valley Home School. Remember our Harvest Scarecrow Contest entries can be set up now ... be sure to place them so they can be seen from the road. We hope you all will enter a fun scarecrow. They will be judged the weekend of October 23 and 24. You are invited to bring your scarecrow entry to the Harvest Festival, folks will enjoy seeing them displayed in the Pumpkin Patch. Scarecrow prizes will be awarded at the Harvest Festival. (No worries if you win a prize and cannot bring your entry to the Harvest Festival; we will deliver your prize to your home the next week.) What great fun we will all have. Next week we will share info about our exciting costume contest and our amazing haunted hayride. I hope you all will join us in Valley Home on October 30.
