Our Valley Home community has definitely had its share of rain this past week; so much so that our creeks are overflowing and our pastures look like sparkling lakes that just go and on, spreading from one neighbor’s pasture to the next! So much water; so much, much-needed water … just so much at once!

Please remember that Wednesday, January 11, is our Valley Home “MAC” Meeting. It will be held in the Bonnie Gellerman Multi-Purpose Room at our Valley Home School. The meeting will start at 6:30pm. Our meetings are always informative with folks hearing reports from our Sheriff’s Department, our Fire Department, our CHP, our County officials, our County Supervisor Buck Condit, and our Valley Home School Superintendent Bill Slikker. Please consider joining us, bring your questions, your concerns … your attendance is very important to our community!

We are excited to report that our Valley Home Community Park will be holding a spaghetti dinner in late March. It’s that time again; it’s very important for all of us to support our beautiful little Community Park! What a treasure we have. Please remember our Community Park belongs to each of us; together our community raises the funds to pay all PG&E, Taxes, Maintenance, and Insurance. We are very blessed to have our beautiful little park … there are very few parks in the state of California that are owned completely by their community. Our upcoming spaghetti dinner profits will go 100 percent to the upkeep of our Community Park. If you would like to donate items or help with the dinner, please contact me, Winnie at 209-985-5233. Your help in any capacity is very much appreciated. More details to come!

During the year I receive many phone calls and messages from my readers; I appreciate your calls very, very much. One of the many things I am looking into right now: how we can get the much loved (printed several years ago) Valley Home “Recipe Book” reprinted. I will let you know when we have details!
