MONDAY SALUTE
fly

Oak Valley Hospital in Oakdale was one of several health care facilities along the route of a single HC-130J Combat King II aircraft from the 129th Rescue Wing that did a Memorial Day flyover on May 25, leaving from Moffett Air National Guard Base in Mountain View. The Oak Valley flyover occurred about 1:15 p.m., with the plane coming in low and drawing a small crowd in the hospital parking lot. According to a National Guard press release issued regarding the event: “The flyovers demonstrate the United States Air Force’s continued readiness and expresses gratitude to health care providers, first responders, and other essential personnel on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19.” After Oakdale, the aircraft continued on to Modesto, Patterson and Turlock.
