Oakdale Junior High represented the Oakdale Joint Unified School District well as they secured third place honors in the 2018 Stanislaus County Academic Pentathlon event with a total of 16,737 points. In addition to the third place title, the team came home with a total of 16 individual medals.

Approximately 150 students participated in the 13th Annual event which included a series of tests, speeches and essays.

Awards were earned in the following areas:

Speech: Morgan Dietrich, Scholastic Silver; Daimien Linn, Varsity Fourth.

Science: Reagan Oliveira, Honors Bronze; Stephanie DeCavit, Scholastic Bronze; Cody Morrill, Varsity Gold; Daimien Linn, Varsity Fifth.

Mathematics: Cleavant Yang, Scholastic Silver; Stephanie DeCavit, Scholastic Bronze; Cody Morrill, Varsity Bronze.

Fine Arts: Reagan Oliveira, Honors Fifth; Stephanie DeCavit, Scholastic Gold; Cleavant Yang, Scholastic Fifth; Grace Juliussen, Scholastic Fifth; Cody Morrill, Varsity Fifth.

Essay and Language Literature: Stephanie DeCavit, Scholastic Silver; Daimien Linn, Varsity Fourth.
