Local Plans In Motion For National Night Out

The war on crime will continue with the annual National Night Out event, which will be held Tuesday, Aug. 3 and the planning process is well under way

There will three parties hosted in the region, including Shire Park (Bridle Ridge), Burchell Hill Park, and The Estates Neighborhood Watch group will stage their own gathering which encompasses the areas of Deo Gloria to Dillwood and all streets in between including, Atlas, Atlas Court, Rio Sombra and Rio Sombra Court, Dixon, Buck Meadows, Whitetail, Rams Hill Court, Del Almendra, St. Andrews, Morris Hunter, Isabel Hunter, Sommer Place, La Posada, Tepopa, Plaza De Oro, Allende, Fox Borough and Fox Borough Court, River Ranch.

National Night Out is an annual event designed to strengthen the community by bringing neighborhoods together to meet their neighbors, create police community partnership and send criminals a message that neighborhoods are united. This is a good opportunity to join your neighbors to give drugs and crime a going away party, officials said.

Each location will feature a variety of fun and games as well as appearances by local law enforcement and emergency services personnel.

This is a free event sponsored by the City of Oakdale and the National Night Out committee.
