The Friends of the Oakdale Library will be hosting its annual used book sale at the Bianchi Community Center on March 8, 9 and 10 this year. Last year over 4,000 books were sold to people here in Oakdale. This has been the organization’s primary fundraiser since the first sale over 50 years ago. The money raised from the sale of used books goes to the local library to support both youth and adult activities.

Additionally it provides many people, including children, the opportunity to obtain books at a very low cost.

The Friends of the Library are currently asking members of the community to donate books they may have at home and would like to recirculate. If you would like to donate books you may drop them off at the library, 151 S. First Ave., or call Frank Clark at 845-2895 and he will arrange pick up at your location.
