On Dec. 1, 2011 Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Bait Barn located at 12505 Yosemite Blvd in Waterford for an infant found in a garbage can. Fire personnel immediately responded and the infant was pronounced deceased.
Over the last five months Detective Jon McQueary has continued to work on the investigation. As part of the investigation Detective McQueary submitted DNA evidence gathered at the crime scene in an attempt to get a match, so he could identify the deceased baby’s mother. Last week Detective McQueary received a DNA profile for a potential mother, but he does not have a name yet.
Detective McQueary is hoping that someone will be willing to come forward and provide him information that will help to identify the mother in this investigation.
