Don’t miss the Toddler and Preschool Dance Party on Monday, Dec. 5, at 11 a.m. Attendees will be “rockin’ out” to some favorite Story Time music as well as trying the hula, the twist, and a limbo dance.

Thursday, December 8, will be our Children’s Craft.  Paint and decorate a wood ornament for hanging or display.  There will be several designs to choose from and these would be great for giving too!  This creative project begins at 3:30 p.m.

Teen/Adult Craft for ages 13 and up, will be “Gift Tag Making.” Be sure your presents get to the right people in the best way possible. Use cardstock, stamps, ribbon, and more to personalize these tags in your own unique style. Join in on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 3:30 p.m. for this imaginative craft.

The library will present its first Evening Story Time and Sing-a-Long on Thursday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m. Children and families will enjoy bedtime stories, fingerplays, and fun. Plus, they are invited to join in and “sing along” to great winter-themed songs and music. Children are invited to wear their pajamas and bring along their favorite stuffed “bedtime buddy.”

Wee Move and Play program, featuring unstructured imaginative play for little ones, 5 and under, will be Dec. 19 at 11 a.m.

Game Day at the Library will be Dec. 28 at 10:30 a.m. Make new friends and enjoy some friendly competition during this drop-in program perfect for children and teens. A variety of games will be available to play such as Jenga, Pick-Up Sticks, Bop-It, chess and more. Come join the fun.

Teen Book Club, a book club just for teens to read, think, discuss, and share. And there will be pizza, too. Join in at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 29. You can pick up a copy of the December book, “DJ Rising” by Love Maia, at the Oakdale Library, then come and add your ideas and voice to the discussion.

Finally, all month long, find the missing Reindeer Antlers hidden in the Children’s Library area and get a prize. The antlers will be moving around each week of December so don’t give up. The reindeer needs them back.

The Oakdale Library will be closed Dec. 23 through Dec. 26.
