City Waterline Work Impacts Local Traffic
Oakdale Flag

Rolfe Construction is beginning work on the East “C” Street Waterline Project – Phase 2, a project that will see a shift in local traffic for the next several weeks.

Scheduled to start April 30, the project will see replacement of aging water lines in the city. As part of the work, C Street will have limited access and at times will be closed from Yosemite Avenue to Sixth Street to thru traffic; access to residents will be maintained. There will be no parking on the street within the work zone. Traffic will be detoured north to A Street or south to E Street as needed to complete the necessary work. Closures will be kept as short as possible to keep any inconvenience to a minimum.

The City of Oakdale is working in cooperation with Rolfe Construction to get the work done quickly in hopes of lessening the impact to residents. Work will start at North Yosemite Avenue and C Street and proceed to the east along C Street. The project is anticipated to be completed by June 17, barring any unforeseen delays.

A letter to residents in the affected area was sent out last week, issued jointly by the city and the construction company.

“Rolfe Construction, in partnership with the City of Oakdale, is committed to completing this project in a safe and timely manner. Every effort will be made to minimize the impacts to your property during construction,” the letter indicated. “We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and cooperation during the construction of this project.”
