Beautiful Day, a ministry of Living Hope Christian Fellowship is back. Citizen’s Cemetery is in need of some tender loving care again. Last year, nearly 150 people entered through the gates of the cemetery and did not leave until the entire cemetery was well-groomed. There were rakes, shovels, hand tools, weed whackers, power washers, mowers of all sizes, paint sprayers and brushes, all flying in every direction. Many hands delicately washed the head stones.

All are invited to join in this year’s Beautiful Day event on Sunday, May 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Citizen’s Cemetery is located at 701 E. J St., Oakdale, and borders on South Fifth Avenue and Sierra Road. Garden tools will be available or you can bring your own. Put on your work gloves and experience the joy of serving others. For more information, call Vic Marchini 848-2566 or Barbi Goschen 209-845-1216.
