Knights Ferry School held its Graduation last Wednesday out on the front of the school overlooking the town. Megan Willis rang the school bell to begin the program. The school children sang, “You’re a Grand Old Flag”. Mrs. Holcomb presented the Kindergarten class. Kindergarten graduates were Byron Macon, Jenna O’Neil, James Peterson, Troy Peterson, Maria Pineda, Trexler Porter, Madison Regan, McKenzie Regan, Kyla Ryan and Lilly Sturtevant. Eighth Grade teacher Randy Russell spoke on mistakes and the future. The gift to the school by the eighth graders was a drinking fountain. The children sang “Saying Goodbye” then Mrs. Cheryl Griffiths presented the graduating class. Graduates were Elora Dennis, Brendan Finn, Salvador Limon, Cassandra Padilla, Elise Seeds, Elijah Van Brunt and Madison Willis. All retired to the cafeteria for refreshments.

Condolences go out to the Ohe family on the death of Mike’s mother, Doris. Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Oakdale Methodist Church.

Remember Thursday, June 6 is the Community Club dinner meeting at the clubhouse at 6:30 p.m. Fred Dolling and Maize Brown will be the speakers.

Welcome to the world Adelynn Marie Quinn. She was born May 11 and weighed in at eight pounds. Proud parents are Amanda and Thomas Quinn and proud grandparents are Cheryl and Kirt Griffiths.

Knights Ferry students that had perfect attendance for the whole school year were Grace Harden, Mikali Willis, Matthew Wolf, Austin Santillo, Kaeli Sweet, Sergio Garcia, Aleesha Harden and Ray Patton. They were honored at the last assembly of the year at KFS. Also honored were those students that had all “A”s for the whole year. They were Rilyn Cassaretto, Eden Cassinetto, Wyatt Dickens, Alyssa Sisco, Kaeli Sweet, Julia Nilsson and Ray Patton.

Movie night on Tuesday, June 11 will feature the movie “UP”. It will be on the tennis court so bring your chairs, blankets and pillows for some free family fun! Refreshment will be available.

Trent Davis and his two cousins Alec and Jordan Ray were painting the upstairs porch rails Saturday and Sunday. Grandmother Carol Davis provided the cold drinks. The boys are donating their time to Miller’s Hall.
