Temperatures are extremely high this week, but luckily the river is refreshingly cold and quite low. How blessed are we to have that ice-cold river in our backyard.

Even though the river is low, keep an eye on the current, supervise children at all times and always bring a life jacket, just in case. Stay cool and stay safe!

Taco Tuesday is the perfect excuse to avoid heating up the kitchen! Grab some tacos, then head to the ice cream shop for a cold treat, they’re open Tuesdays from 4pm to 7pm.

The River’s Edge and the 50’s Roadhouse are also open for dinner most evenings. Let’s support our local businesses so they can thrive, stay open, and continue giving all of us great places to gather.

School starts this week for Knights Ferry School, Oakdale High School, and all Oakdale schools. That means more traffic during the morning and afternoon commute.

Please remember to slow down, drive responsibly, and help keep our most precious cargo safe. Wishing all of our students, teachers, and staff a wonderful school year!
