Knights Ferry News for April 6, 2011

Spring is in the air and a lot of people came to the breakfast last Sunday to enjoy the good food, fellowship and the scenery along the way.

For your April calendar: Knights Ferry Community Club on Thursday, April 7th at the clubhouse at 7:00p.m. It is a dessert meeting. The Oakdale Rodeo Parade on the 9th and the Rodeo the 8-9-10. The meeting of the Knights Ferry Museum and History Associates will be on Tuesday, April 12th at 9:00a.m. Knights Ferry Garden Club is on April 13th at Carol Davis’s home at 10:00a.m. Public School Night at Knight Ferry School is on April 13th at 6:00p.m. with the Eighth Graders for hire. Also the Book Fair will be going on that week at KFS. The KFS School Board will meet April 14th at 6:00p.m. On Thursday, April 21, the school will have their Easter Egg hunts in the morning and then recess for spring Break until May 2nd. Easter is April 24th with sunrise service at the cross. The MAC will meet on April 28th at the clubhouse at 7:00p.m. Your reporter hopes that is all!

In the process of getting the Shearer Hill ready for Easter, your reporter has stomped on over 1100 snails! We don’t bait because of the dogs and peacocks. This has been a bumper crop; too bad we don’t eat them (did once, yuck)!
