Important correction from last week’s announcements! To participate in the golf tournament benefit in memory of Eric Ulrich, the cost will be $50 to walk the course and $65 to use a cart. Last week’s article stated it would be $50 to walk and $60 to ride. I apologize for the confusion! Don’t forget to sign up with Rick Maisel at the General Store by July 10th. The Odd Fellows and friends of Eric Ulrich are well on their way planning a delicious dinner fundraiser set for the evening of July 10th! Now is the time to purchase your dinner tickets from Fred Dolling (209)743-3461. Tickets are $50 a person and include live music, dinner, and beer from the Dying Breed.

A lot of community members and friends attended the Community Club 4th of July picnic held on July 1st. The Club decorated the Clubhouse with patriotic decorations and served hot dogs and drinks and those in attendance brought a dish to share. It was a great turnout to catch up with from friends and enjoy delicious food together.

On the 4th of July, the local families enjoyed a community show of safe and sane fireworks on the tennis courts. It is a great show when everyone brings fireworks to share! It makes it more exciting and last a lot longer than trying to put on a show alone at home.

Even though the local fireworks were relatively safe, there were a lot of river rescues on the 4th of July! It cannot be stressed enough to spread the word of river safety to anyone and everyone. We are grateful for our Fire Department for their continued presence and efforts to help anyone in need!
