It’s June already! Blueberry season is in full swing and we are lucky enough to have a local U-pick farm in our backyard. If you live in the country, you know that streets and directions are not always cut and dry, the blueberry farm is technically on Schell Road but it is best not to put the address in Google maps! It’s about a mile after you turn onto Sonora Road, toward Farmington. The driveway is on the right-hand side with a “U-pick Blueberries” sign. They are open 7 days a week from 8am-4pm. They are very kind people and would greatly appreciate some local business! Please bring a mask or scarf, hand sanitizer, and a container to collect berries.

Friday, May 29th marked Knights Ferry School’s final day of school. The 8th graders and kindergarteners paraded through town by car. Most of the graduate’s cars were decorated with blue and gold decorations and the kids were all smiles! I know it wasn’t the celebration they expected but it was great to see them! Jenna Dickens was able to order the 8th graders yard signs for their yards to celebrate their graduation. All students were able to return their borrowed electronics to school. Teacher/Staff appreciation week is usually early May but the parents rallied to put together some kind gifts for their teachers and gifted them this week as well.
