March is officially here! It is a busy month for Knights Ferry with two major events in town. This weekend is the school dinner and auction fundraiser. The Odd Fellows court and the Community Club will be full on Saturday night! Next weekend, March 17th and 18th, the town will be packed with Civil War attendees and reenactors! Please support the reenactments with a small donation to help cover the cost of supplies. I love hearing the booms but truth be told, my dog could do without them!
Saturday night is the annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser hosted by the Community Club. Take the night off and let the Club cook dinner for your family. Dinner starts at 5 p.m., ticket prices: adults $8 and kids $4, and there will be a raffle. Come on out and support the Club!

The Community Club meeting was well attended. Candidate for Stanislaus County Sheriff, Juan Alanis spoke at the meeting. He spoke about bringing the Juvenile Services department back, more efficient CCW process, and bringing deputies back to town. He spoke about recruiting, retention, managing resources, and bringing the Sheriffs out into the community to build better relationships between the department and families.
Membership dues are now due so please remit your $35 for a family membership to the Community Club. You can mail, pay at the next meeting, or pay your dues online.

The Church is hosting a bazaar inside the Community Club during the Car Show on April 7. The church is looking for crafts and baked goods to be donated to the cause. All proceeds benefit the church’s upcoming necessary renovations. Please contact Dolly Haskell in the Post Office for more details.
Odd Fellows will host their breakfast on the day of the Car Show, starting at 7 a.m. for all the early risers! Be sure to eat breakfast with the Odd Fellows.

The General Store is officially open again! Go in and check out the store and eat a Whiskey burger! They also feature a new after-hours menu of small plates.
