It has been a relatively quiet week in town with the school and businesses closed in town. Dolly has been working in the Post Office but with increased safety measures to protect herself and those who pick up their mail. Please don’t forget to purchase your stamps at the Post Office, Dolly put a form to purchase stamps in each post office box. It’s convenient and it helps to support our local Post Office!

The following events and meetings have been canceled: MAC committee, Odd Fellows pancake breakfast and meetings, Car Show, Church Craft Bazaar, Community Club, Fire Safe Council, and the Peddler’s Faire.

The Fire Safe Council planned to show a presentation on Measure Q at the April Community Club meeting. They will schedule another date for the presentation at another time.

In Peddler’s Faire news, the planning committee sent official notice of cancelation and refund checks to vendors who submitted their application and payment. The planning committee will not reschedule another date for the 2020 year; instead they will look forward to the upcoming Peddler’s Faire in 2021.

Kim McCarthy had a great idea for all the local homes in town to create art and put it in a window facing the street. Many families have been walking the streets to get some fresh air and exercise as they spend most of their time indoors at this time. The families enjoy seeing the art in the windows!

Carol Davis reported that her grandsons, Jordan and Alec have safely returned home from college back east! She said they were delayed in Las Vegas but made their way home safely.

The Knights Ferry Community Church has suspended their church meetings in the sanctuary but are working to provide an online service using Facebook Live. This past Sunday, Pastor Henry’s sermon and Randy Mandy and friends played worship music in the sanctuary and it was streamed using Facebook Live. Viewers are able to listen and worship safely in their homes. The Church plans to continue using Facebook Live for at least the next few weeks. Follow the church’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/KFCommunityChurch to listen to Pastor Henry’s sermon on Sundays.
