Thank you to all those who participated with the Giving Tree to provide Christmas for local families! It is nice to see the community come together to help one another.

The Knights Ferry Community Church completed their annual lighting of the Advent Wreath led by Heather Wright with the help of the children in attendance and sang Christmas hymns at their Christmas Eve service.

On December 31, 2021, Lisa Dolling will be retiring as the Project Assistant from the Army Corp of Engineers in Knights Ferry. Lisa has served at the local Army Corp of Engineers for 34-and-a-half years. Lisa was hired by Jim Sander in 1987 and preformed her duties using a typewriter, telephone, and copier! She has enjoyed the job, the Stan fam, the people she has met, and all the adventures but she looks forward to the next phase of her life and spending more time with her family and friends. Congratulations on your retirement, Lisa!

I can’t believe this will be the final week of the Knights Ferry News for the year! Up next I look forward to reporting on all the events for the 2022 year. Tentative events include the Civil War Days, Peddler’s Faire, Knights Ferry Car Show, Pumpkin Roll, and Christmas Parade. While none of the events are set in stone for the 2022 year, I am optimistic for our little town!
