It’s Pumpkin Roll time! This Sunday marks the 63rd annual world-famous Knights Ferry Pumpkin Roll! Started in 1964, this time-honored tradition never fails to fill the town with community and fun.
Sign-ups start at 10:45 a.m. and run until 2:45 p.m., with the littles starting the day off rolling at noon. The town will be filled with music, neighbors, and hopefully the delicious kettle corn vendor!
In addition to the Community Club, which will be filled with vendors, the Cool Company antique shop will be open, as well as Knights Ferry Vintage, where a limited number of Pumpkin Roll stickers and postcards will be for sale for the first time! Come say hi and get your Pumpkin Roll and Knights Ferry merch!
Speaking of merch, pop into the General Store for some new Pumpkin Roll hats and apparel by Jess with “Made for the Ferry.” She has been taking pre-orders, but there will also be a limited amount available at the General Store on the day of the Pumpkin Roll.
Of course, Knights Ferry’s favorite ice cream shop will be open for all of your sweets and coffee needs, Rick’s Saloon will have food and drink specials, and the River’s Edge will also be open for your dining pleasure.
The weather may be a little cloudy and wet, but if you ask me, that just makes it feel more nostalgic and magical. Come early to claim your seats along Main Street to watch the festivities!
The lineup schedule is as follows: Girls and boys ages 0–5 roll at noon, followed by seniors 62 and up, kids 6–12, teens 13–19, women 20–62, and finally, men 20–62.

Friday, October 30 musician Sam Baker will be at the Community Club for an intimate and seated event. Sam’s story will leave you speechless. Sam Baker is a Texas singer-songwriter, visual artist, and remarkable survivor whose music finds beauty in the places where life breaks open. Raised in Itasca, Texas, Baker came to songwriting after a 1986 terrorist bombing in Peru left him with life-changing injuries and forced him to relearn language and guitar.
The experience transformed his art. His spare, poetic songs are filled with resilience, compassion, and a profound sense of wonder at the human story. Through acclaimed albums including Mercy, Cotton, and Say Grace, Baker has forged a singular voice - quietly powerful, deeply human, and unmistakably his own.
If you are looking to learn more about Sam Baker, Willy Tea Taylor, who will be a supporting act, recommends NPR’s Fresh Air Interview with Sam Baker by Terry Gross.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Entertainment curated by Randy Mandy LLC & Willy Tea Taylor.
Some proceeds will go to Free Market, our Knights Ferry food distribution program.
