Knights Ferry General Store/Rick’s Saloon & Cafe held their first chili cook off this past Friday, October 2. It was quite the success with 12 entries. The winner was Debbie Tokar with People’s Choice going to Phil Frymire. Next month the fun continues with a meatloaf cook off. More details to come so stay tuned!

On Wednesday, October 21, The River’s Edge Restaurant will be hosting a Sushi Rolling Class. For a $40 entry fee guests will learn from sushi pros. Fresh ingredients will be provided and at the end of class you’ll get to enjoy your creations. Entry includes one free drink voucher. Sushi Rolling Class will start at 2pm.

Residents of Horseshoe Road will be holding their annual neighborhood yard sale October 16-17. It should be a beautiful time to grab a coffee, mosey down that beautiful road and look for some deals.
