The Community Club was very well attended to listen to Sheriff Dirkse speak. It is great to see law enforcement check in on our small community.

According to the American Civil War Association’s website, they have scheduled the Civil War reenactments in Knights Ferry for March 19-20 of this year! Their website has important details about the reenactments including to be prepared to climb a small hill for the best viewing area of the battlefield and that rather than charge a fee, they request donations after each battle. The American Civil War Association has come to Knights Ferry for many years and our town will look forward to their return for the 2022 year! Visit their website: www.acwa.org

The Knights Ferry School Parent Teacher Club reminds you to save the date for their annual dinner and auction fundraiser! The fundraiser will be March 5, 2022 and the theme is Masquerade. The event is their largest fundraiser of the year to raise money to pay for field trips, student events, student enrichment, and so much more. In my opinion, one of the greatest donations the PTC provides for the school is a budget for teachers to purchase items for their classroom. It helps to alleviate some of the financial burden for teachers as they create an environment for the students to learn! Also, this year, the PTC purchased art supplies and parent volunteers will bring art lessons to each classroom once a month!
