Oakdale VFW Post 2922 is accepting nominations to recognize firefighters, emergency medical personnel and law enforcement officers serving the Oakdale, Escalon, Knights Ferry, Riverbank and Valley Home communities.

The organization is inviting community members to nominate first responders they believe have demonstrated outstanding service in their communities. Residents may submit nominations by emailing oakdale.vfw@gmail.com or by sending a message through the Oakdale VFW Post 2922 Facebook page via Messenger.

Nominees should be firefighters, emergency medical personnel or law enforcement officers serving one of the five listed communities. Those submitting nominations are asked to include information about the individual and the reasons they are being nominated. Oakdale VFW Post 2922 said it will assist with preparing the nomination submission.
