A fire reported just after 1 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23 at the Oakdale Golf and Country Club saw multiple units responding to the scene. Officials reported that at 1:10 a.m., a total of nine units responded to a working commercial structure fire at the Oakdale Golf and Country Club. Crews arrived on scene to find a large metal building that houses approximately 80 golf carts fully involved. Two adjacent buildings were immediately threatened. Crews quickly placed multiple hand lines and an aerial into service to contain the fire. The fire itself was contained to the building of origin with one other exposure with minor damage. No injuries were reported. The damage is estimated at $600,000. The cause is under investigation.
