The regular meeting of the Oakdale City Council scheduled for Monday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. has been canceled.

Officials said the continued canvass of votes from the Nov. 6 election – with certification due no later than Thursday, Dec. 6 – prompted the cancellation, with a swearing in of council members elected due at a special session instead.

That special council meeting will be held on Monday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. at the Gene Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave., Oakdale.

Regular meetings of the Oakdale City Council are held on the first and third Monday of every month; whenever the date of any regular meeting falls upon a legal holiday, the meeting shall be held on the next succeeding.
