For many years, the large building that used to house the MCI TTY business in Riverbank has sat vacant or partially occupied so when Boyett Petroleum announced their plans to relocate their administrative and business offices to the building, many were pleased to learn that the building would be occupied again on a long-term basis. Scott Castle, President of Boyett Petroleum, was on hand at some of the recent City Council meetings to share why Boyett chose the ‘City of Action’ as the future home for their new office.

“We love Riverbank and we love the people and we want to be part of that,” said Castle.

Working with the City Council, Boyett Petroleum has agreed to participate in an Economic Incentive Agreement, which provides a certain percentage of money from profits generated by Boyett Petroleum to the City of Riverbank for a specific period of time. Final figures are still being negotiated but some of the councilmembers proposed a 50/50 agreement that would remain in place for a term of 20 years with Boyett and the City of Riverbank being equal partners in the agreement. Castle noted that Boyett Petroleum has had agreements like this with other community partners in the past including the City of Modesto. Castle reiterated that he and his team are open to discussing figures and term limits that are mutually beneficial for Boyett Petroleum and the City of Riverbank.

Dale Boyett, CEO, shared that the sheer size of the office building, which consists of more than 43,000 square feet, was a big part of the deciding factor in moving to Riverbank.

“We have so many amenities for our employees here from better parking for our employees, to more room to grow and all of the local restaurants and stores where our employees can dine and shop,” Boyett said.

With about 90 employees relocating to the Oakdale Road facility, the offices are humming with activity and enthusiasm as renovations have brought a new energy to the building. From exquisite fixtures to open spaces that encourage communication and camaraderie, Boyett Petroleum has already brought their vision to life within the building.

The spacious break room includes a shuffleboard table and an outdoor break area that has multiple tables and benches for employees to enjoy the fresh air and cooler weather. The conference room has doors that open up to the entire floor so that the leadership team can communicate openly and easily with the employees.

From employees like Donnie Fairchilds, who works in Sales and has been with Boyett for a decade to Chief Legal Officer Katie Hollowell, who will celebrate her 20-year anniversary with the company soon, many employees have enjoyed years of service at Boyett Petroleum and will continue to do so at their new location in Riverbank where every detail of the new space has been thoughtfully curated.
