Jose Alvarez and Esmeralda Tapia Maciel welcomed the arrival of their twin daughters, Julissa Alvarez Tapia and Julianna Alvarez Tapia, on Nov. 17, 2011.
Julissa weighed six pounds, ten ounces and Julianna weighed six pounds, nine ounces upon arrival at Oak Valley Hospital.
Welcoming home the newcomers was older sibling Angel Tapia.
Audomaro and Carmen Tapia of Oakdale are the maternal grandparents.
Martin and Carmen Alvarez of Riverbank are paternal grandparents.
