A boy, Fred David Herschbach III, was born April 16, 2009 to expectant parents Jason and Kristin Herschbach of Oakdale. The newborn weighed seven pounds, eight ounces upon arrival at Kaiser Hospital in Modesto.
The mother is the former Kristin Kleinheinz.
Welcoming the newcomer home was older sister Hannah.
Phil and Kathy Kleinheinz of Oakdale are the maternal grandparents.
Fred and Kathy Herschbach of Gilroy are paternal grandparents.
