Richard L. Campbell and Ann L. Campbell celebrated 60 years of marriage in late summer of this year.

The couple met at San Jose State following World War II. They were wed in a Presbyterian church on Aug. 14, 1949 in Santa Cruz. They spent 25 years in Cupertino, 25 years in Sonora and currently reside in Oakdale.

Mr. Campbell was employed for 31 years as a coach, teacher and administrator in Templeton, Atascadero and Cupertino. Mrs. Campbell worked as a classroom aide and librarian in Santa Clara and Belleview. She was also active as a community volunteer.

The Campbells are the parents of four children, Sandy A. Campbell of Santa Rosa, Cynthia Varsos of Nashville, Tennessee, Tom Campbell of North Carolina and Scott Campbell of Chico; and three grandchildren.

A garden party was hosted for the celebration at the home of Aileene Campbell in Modesto.
