The season will continue into the postseason for both the Oakdale Stampede varsity and junior varsity teams. On Saturday, Oct. 28 the boys headed to Modesto to clash with the Broncos. A pair of convincing road wins punched the Stampede playoff tickets. The varsity boys defeated Modesto 46-6 and the junior varsity shut out Modesto 48-0.

The varsity boys finished the season in second place (9-1, 5-1) in the AFC standings. Oakdale outscored the opposition 425-130 during the regular season and will be the number two seed in the playoff tournament. Oakdale will host the number three seeded Ceres Seahawks. The Seahawks (8-2, 5-1) and Stampede played each other week four at The Corral where the Stampede dominated the game 52-20.

Oakdale’s JV (9-1, 5-1) team finished the season on a five game winning streak and has dominated on both sides of the ball this season. Only allowing 56 points on the season, Oakdale earned the number two seed in the playoffs and will host the three seed Turlock Bulldogs (8-2, 4-2) on Saturday. The two teams squared off in week nine at The Corral where Oakdale shutout the Bulldogs 35-0.

Junior varsity kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. with the varsity to follow.
