Winding their way through a three-game stretch on the road, the Oakdale Stampede squads traveled to Pacheco High School to clash with the Wildcats. In week six action, the second of a three game road trip was a successful one for two of the three Stampede clubs.

Oakdale Peewee Stampede was blanked by the Wildcats 25-0. Oakdale fell to 1-2 in the Cen-Cal Jr AFC standings and are now 3-3 overall on the year. They find themselves in sixth place in the standings and cap off the road trip Saturday, Oct. 8 at Livingston against the Wolves (4-2, 2-2) with kickoff scheduled for 3 p.m.

The Oakdale Junior Varsity Stampede shut out the Wildcats 12-0 for the team’s second consecutive shutout victory. Oakdale has outscored the opposition 209-50 through six weeks and are sitting in fourth place. The boys are now 5-1 overall on the season and are 2-1 in the division. Oakdale travels to Livingston to take on the fifth place Wolves (4-2, 2-2) on Saturday with a 5 p.m. start time.

Oakdale’s Varsity team tamed the Wildcats (3-3, 2-1) 40-12 in the road contest. This was the Stampede’s third straight win and they are now in third place (5-1, 2-1) in the standings. Oakdale has scored a league high 245 points this season, 46 more than the second highest by the Manteca Buffs. Oakdale caps off the road trip at Livingston (2-4, 1-3). Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8.
