The Mustang boys golf team teed off the preseason with match play against their former league rival, Sonora. The two teams met at Mountain Spring Golf Course to play nine holes. Oakdale came out on top with a 204-228 victory. Sophomore David Myrtakis sat on top of the leaderboard with an impressive 37. Not far behind Myrtakis were his teammates Calvin Reed (40); Greg Wikoff (41) and Zackary Tamburrino (41). Tristan Jaramillo carded a 45 and Cole Liekhus finished the day at 51.

The Mustangs host Ceres on Wednesday, March 2 at 3 p.m. at Oakdale Golf and Country Club (OGCC). On Monday, March 7 the team will host The Oakdale Cup with tee time set for 9 a.m.
