Boys Soccer Washed Out

With high winds and rain swirling in Oakdale, the Mustang soccer boys could not take the field. With a short week due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday, the boys attempted to take the field on Wednesday against Kimball. Earlier in the day, the junior varsity boys took the field and their game came to a close early as lighting was spotted in the area. Ultimately, that forced both the junior varsity and varsity boys soccer games to be postponed.

No makeup date for the Oakdale at Kimball game has been announced. It was the Mustangs’ lone scheduled game of the week. Oakdale squads were scheduled to travel to Manteca on Monday, Jan. 23 following The Leader’s press time, weather permitting. The soccer boys are scheduled to host East Union today, Wednesday Jan. 25 with the JV game at 4 p.m. and varsity at 5:30 p.m.
