SCOTT B. STEELEY
December 1990 – July 2021

Scott Steeley entered into Heaven at the age of 30 on July 25, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was a loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and fiancé to his beloved, Brittany Johnson.
At the tender age of 30, he achieved the career he dreamed of, bought his first house, and was planning a wedding scheduled for Oct. 22, 2022 with his beautiful fiancée.
Scott will be forever remembered as a great friend and having a huge heart, big smile, and loved his family more than anything.
He never lacked for things to do, his favorite hobby was snow skiing when time allowed. He was a huge fan of watching his cousin, Russell Steeley compete in monster truck and pull truck events, traveling (Hawaii), and loved anything that made loud noise. For many years he volunteered with Society for Disabilities in the snow ski program and the Spirit of Oakdale Thanksgiving dinner since he was about 15 years old.
Scott was active in sports as a kid, which included, soccer, swim team, BMX bike racing, shot put, and football. He was proud to be an OHS Mustang.
Scott’s first job was at SaveMart, the great #48, as a service clerk. He then went to work as a merchandiser with Cencal/DBI. He was promoted to truck driver after getting his Class A license and continued to drive for Reyes Holding/Golden Brands (Miller Lite/Coors Light), this was a job he truly loved because of the opportunity to get up every day and drive in the most beautiful places.
He will be missed by too many friends to list; friends from Oakdale and those he met during his travels. He will also be missed by his ‘bestest’ buddy and paw pal, Cooper.
Scott is survived by his loving parents, David and Gaye Steeley; his sister Katie, who he loved, adored, and protected although he was the baby brother; his grandmother, Jessie Webb; auntie Jonell and uncle John Hassapakis; and numerous family members near and far; his lovely fiancée (love of his life), Brittany Johnson; and the Johnson family, Rose, Stan, and Christian Johnson.
Gone far too soon, God’s plan was not ours … until we see you again. We love and miss you forever.
Donations can be made in memory of Scott Steeley: Society for Disabilities, ATTN: Snow Ski Program, 1129 8th Street, Ste. 101, Modesto, CA 95354.
Private celebration will be planned in the future.
