Rex Bruton of Oakdale passed away at the Oakdale Care Center on November 3.  He was born in Ann, Missouri and served his country in the Navy during WWII.  In 1948 he married his sweetheart Hazel Jamison, whom he nicknamed Judy.  They had 66 very happy years together and raised 2 children, Ken Bruton who passed away 2 years ago leaving his wife Terry, and also Karen Hartkamp and her husband Gary.  Rex retired from Hershey foods after 22 years of being a mechanic.  His retirement years were spent enjoying camping and fishing with his wife, friends and grandchildren. He had 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at Sierra Foothills Community Church, 1040 West F Street, Oakdale, CA, Friday, November 14, at 2:00.
