Marvene ‘Goosie’ Vigil, 87, died Friday, July 10 at her Modesto home.
She was a native of Colorado. She lived in Modesto for three years and previously lived in Oakdale for 60 years.
She was a kiss wrapper at Hershey’s for 23 years.
Mrs. Vigil was a member of the Oakdale Soroptimists. She loved to dance and play poker.
She is survived by her children, Wanda Whittaker of Mountain View, Donna Welborn of Fair Oaks, Dwayne Lewis of New Mexico; brother, Dave Gallegos of New Mexico; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 25 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel.
