Margaret E. Heltzel, 90, longtime Oakdale resident, died Saturday, July18 at Oak Valley Care Center.
She was born in Kirwin, KS to Claude and Laura Cogswell. She married Archie Heltzel in 1938, and they moved to California in 1947. She was widowed in 1961.
Mrs. Heltzel worked for 27 years at Oak Valley District Hospital and retired in 1993 as the Medical Records Department Supervisor and Medical Staff Secretary.
She loved to garden and spend time with family and her many friends. She was a member of the Community United Methodist Church of Oakdale and the Oak Valley District Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by sons, Vernon and Dennis of Oakdale; daughter, Carol Ann Stoller of Fair Oaks; sister, Donna Jean Campbell of Ripon; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
