Janet Hazlewood-Russo

February 2, 1948- December 18,2 014 

   On December 18, 2014 heaven was given a new angel. Janet a loving  wife, mother, and grandmother recently lost her life to brain cancer. She was known to many as Mama, the nickname that was given to her by her grandchildren. A woman who was full of love and laughter with a place in her heart for anyone that crossed her path. She never came across a challenge she could not handle.

   Janet was a hard worker and fighter who would never refuse to give up even until her last breath. Cancer might have taken her life, but it never took her spirit. Even to her last day she never let it get the best of her. Surrounded by loved ones by her side until it was time for her to go home and be with her husband Clark Allen Hazlewood, who passed away many years before.  Also, to be with her brother once again who passed away 5 years ago with the same cancer.

  She has no more sorrow, no more pain and is dancing again. If you knew Janet then you knew her hugs, hugs that could melt your heart.

   Janet is survived by her loving husband Dennis Russo and children Matt Hazlewood, Leigha Faught, Jenny Hazlewood, Jay and Jamie Cortes, Ben and Christina Hazlewood and her wonderful grandchildren.

   Her service will be held at The River Community Church, 1351 East G Street, Oakdale. CA at 11am, Saturday the 10th of January 2015. A reception will follow at the Oakdale F.E.S Hall.
