Jamie Elizabeth (Cashman) Neathery, 52, died Tuesday, Nov. 24 after a heroic and well-fought battle with cancer.
She lived with her family in Oakdale.
She was born in Oakdale to Bill and Valera (Brennan) Cashman. She and her siblings were raised in Strawberry. She attended and graduated from Pinecrest Elementary School and Sonora High School. She married Bob Neathery and was the proud mother of three children.
Mrs. Neathery loved her time with her family and took pride in her career as a personal trainer and massage therapist in Oakdale. She had a brilliant enthusiasm towards her active and energetic life and focused ample amounts of energy towards her children and their current and future successes.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Neathery of Oakdale; sons, Luke (Whitney) Neathery of Redmond, OR, Jeremy Neathery of Oakdale; daughter, Amee Neathery of Oakdale; stepdaughter, Annett (Jason) Medeiros of Modesto; parents, Bill and Valera Cashman of Strawberry; siblings, Laurie Cashman of Pinecrest, Peggy Herndon of Coulterville, Kelly (Bartshe) Miller of Lee Vining, John (Christy) Cashman of Strawberry; mother-in-law, Navon Neathery of Empire; father- and mother-in-law, Bob and Joan Neathery of Oakdale; grandsons, Gabriel Wayne and Wyatt Kytt Neathery, both of Redmond, OR; step-granddaughters, Mallorie and Gabrielle Medeiros, both of Modesto; nieces and nephews, Heidi Lupo, Nicole and Nathan Lemos, Nik and Nona Schneider, Willie Schneider, Lundy Schneider, Sky Greytak, Shane Greytak, Jamie Herndon, and Jordan, Keely and Noah Cashman.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alfred and Irma Brennan, and William and Beatrice Cashman.
A Rosary was held on Nov. 29 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Oakdale. Funeral services were held on Nov. 30, also at the church.
Oakdale Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
