George Harwood Koch passed away peacefully October 25, 2021. George was born December 19, 1927 in Marble Falls, Texas to parents Willian and Kate Koch. At the age of 12, George’s family moved from Texas to Escalon. George and his brother, Clifford, ran their dairy for over 40 years. He enjoyed gardening and grew the biggest tomatoes and watermelons around. George was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. When he would go hunting, he would typically “pack-in” with his horse and supplies.
George is survived by his sister, Nella Sorrenti of Escalon and brother, Clifford Koch of Farmington, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapel. A graveside service was held Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Burwood Cemetery.
