George Costello, 77, died Wednesday, March 3 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House.

He was a native of Colorado and lived in Riverbank for 65 years.

Mr. Costello had worked as a foreman for Contadina for 37 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local #748.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Costello of Riverbank; children, Jesse Lopez of Riverbank, Madie Herrera of Ceres, Alex Costello of Riverbank, Joey Costello of Modesto, Elena Crossgrove of Colorado, Dario Costello of Oakdale; sisters, Sara Sandoval of Modesto, Josephina Amaro of Ceres, Rosie Salinas of Riverbank; brothers, Jamie Costello and Rosario Costello, both of Riverbank, Antonio Costello of Modesto; 20 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A rosary, vigil, and viewing were held March 8 at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, Riverbank. Mass was held March 9, also at the church, with burial following at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, Modesto.
