Edward R. Jones, 80, of Oakdale died Tuesday, June 30 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House, Hughson.
Mr. Jones was a native of Alabama. He lived in the Oakdale-Riverbank area for 18 years.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
He worked in a foundry as a mold maker for 30 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union.
He is survived by his sons, Ronald Jones of Modesto and Anthony Taylor Jones of Lynden, WA; two sisters; nine grandchildren; and companion, Margot Stanely.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Francis Jones; sons, Raymond Edward Jones and Gary Michael Jones.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel.
